Dr. Saloni Upadhyay

Dr. Saloni Upadhyay, a profound doctor by profession, passionate teacher by heart and an empathetic patroness by deeds. The chief trustee of Arden Progressive School has been serving the society through various means. Dr.Upadhyay(MD Pathology) has been providing her services in the field of medical sciences for the last 18 years. She has a long and illustrious career in the Blood Transfusion department since 2004.

Dr. Upadhyay, the chief trustee of our school has been an earnest contributor  in building up the school and taking it to a position where it is today. Her inclination has always been into the field of education as she herself has been teaching to the students of M.B.B.S as well as M.D Pathology. She understands the need of this field and has got the nerves of it as she has been a regular faculty member for a good deal of time. Her presence in the decision making body of the school has really proved out to be vital as she has held several key positions over her illustrious career by which the school has bloomed under her leadership.

Dr. Upadhyay’s experience has been crucial for the school as because of her guidance and support not only the school but the teachers have also benefitted. She has attended numerous conferences of Pathology & Transfusion Medicare all over India.She has a renowned name in her field and has been a benefactor for the people requiring medical aids. Having conducted 400 blood donation camps for last 18 years, she has served the society in a huge manner by the establishment of 1^st plasmapheresis in Kumaon region (Uttarakhand) during COVID-19 time.

The school, alongwith its students and teachers are priveleged to have such a renowned personality who not only serves the patients outside but has been present in school to guide and motivate teachers and the entire staff during difficult times too. The entire school, is blessed to have a loving mother with empathy and love for all of us.

Mr.Bhuwan Chandra Upadhyay

Arden Progressive School counts itself blessed to have Mr.Bhuwan Chandra Upadhyay as its Chief Trustee. Meticulous planning and perfect execution of those plans are the hallmark of our chief trustee. A man of few words, Mr. Bhuwan Chandra Upadhyay is a pillar of strength for the entire staff of the school and his care & concern for all members of staff is the real motivational force that binds all and maximizes every employee’s potential. His paternalistic style of leadership  makes all the employees work with utmost sincerity, full devotion and great team spirit.

A multi – dimensional personality, our Chief Trustee’s benevolent nature and an inherent care for the society has resulted in a number of CSR initiatives by the school. Not only is he concerned about social welfare but has a strong say when it comes to care for Himalayan Flora and Fauna. He is the real driving force that resulted in our School developing into a ‘Green Hub’ with more than 4000 trees and plants of various species in our beautiful campus. Our Chief Trustee’s love and affection for the children has brought in a number of programs for the well-being and overall  development of our students.

No wonder that ‘Uttarakhand Ki Khoj’, a magazine which selects top personalities and institutions of Uttarakhand has chosen our Chief Trustee sir as an ‘Important Personality of Uttarakhand’.

Dr. Mohan Chandra Joshi

Arden Progressive School, Lamachaur is fortunate to have Honorable Dr. Mohan Chandra Joshi as its mentor. A 1977 Gold medalist in Hindi Literature from Kumaun University, Dr. Joshi joined the prestigious Doon School, Dehradun in 1979 and served it with distinction for 37 years.

A scholar par excellence and a man of varied skills, Dr. Mohan Chandra Joshi is a great exponent of Literature and holds equal command over Hindi and English languages. During his illustrious teaching career at Doon School, Dr. Joshi held many important positions and did justice with each one of them, thanks to his unique and creative leadership style. Having many feathers to his cap, Dr. Joshi was master in- charge of Hindi Debating, Swimming, STA and SUPW at the school.

Dr. Joshi was the Head of the Department of ‘Hindi and Indian Languages’ in Doon School and wasalso an important figure in Community Services and Theatre. His efforts were instrumental in bringing out an Annual Hindi Magazine, quite aptly named as ‘Prayas’. He appeared prominently in the Pastoral Care Services of the School and was one of the founder House Masters of Oberoi House.

Given his efficient functioning and an eye for perfection, Dr. Joshi rose to the positions of immense responsibility and stature such as Dean of Public Relations, Dean of Community Services and finally to being the ‘Dean of Activities’. Dr. Joshi is an avid reader and an environmentalist who has been involved in an end number of campaigns pertaining to ‘Go Green Drive’.

Post retirement, Dr. Joshi is keenly involved in community Development Programs and environmental issues through his Philanthropic Trust called ‘Shrot’. He has also been serving as a guiding light to many of the newly established schools in rural areas in Uttarakhand through regular mentoring and counselling. Out of all his achievements,Dr. Joshi is most proud of having been keenly involved in the full restoration and rebuilding of a school in Village Chaka in Rudraprayag that was ravaged by the disastrous floods in June 2013.We look forward to his regular guidance in future as well.

Mr.Tushar Upadhyay

An ardent student of Science and technology, having a keen interest in Astrophysics and Cosmology, an engineer and management graduate in profession, competent B.tech and MBA, Mr. Tushar Upadhyay has always been a fervent learner and possesses a heart of an academician because of which even after getting many great opportunities to work and prosper in the corporate sector, which for obvious reasons has endless possibilities of growth, chose to contribute in the path of nation building by entering the noble field of education. He along with other trustees, co-founded and established ARDEN PROGRESSIVE SCHOOL, a school which has been a synonym of excellence ever since its inception. He also holds the highly acclaimed Diploma in SIX SIGMA Green Belt Quality Management.

A Polyglot, having command over Hindi, English, French and German Languages, Mr. Upadhyay has been a key figure in the development of the School. His single - minded devotion and inherent ability to innovate has resulted in the School achieving excellent Board results as well as a credible 7^th rank in the Times of India School Survey for best Day Schools of Uttarakhand. He strongly believes in overall qualitative development of children by creating modern and contemporary educational environment. His sincere efforts have resulted in creation of a strong value - based culture and a healthy work environment in the School for staff and students.

Mr. Tushar, undoubtedly is a skilled and professional Manager having experience in overall management of school. He has led his team from the front by taking the helm of the ship in his own hands during this revolutionary journey. He himself has overseen the recruitments, curriculum designing, all types of promotion and marketing/advertisements, academics, admissions, strategic planning  and quality control, counseling of students/teachers and parents, overall C.B.S.E affiliation, infrastructure construction and planning, activity and events conduction and management, maintained good liaison with state officials and every aspect of running an institution with qualitative and practical approach towards objectives  by developing a value - based culture in the organization for staff /employees and students thereby leading to an optimistically motivated work environment for accomplishment of organizational goals.

During his tenure he along with his team has brought the strength of students from 229 in the first year to 1800 and still counting,  in the sixth year of school.

For his outstanding contribution in the field of academics, Mr Tushar Upadhyay has been bestowed with many accolades and awards. Some of the noted ones are as under:

An all- round sportsman, Mr. Upadhyay believes in spending quality time in socializing, swimming, trekking, philanthropy and spirituality.

Mrs.Lalita Bisht

A seasoned educator with over 30 years of rich and extensive experience, Mrs  Lalita Bisht is a real pillar of strength of Pre - Primary Wing of Arden Progressive School.

Her towering presence, astute leadership and unbound affection for little children has been the real backbone of our institution’s endeavor to nurture our lovely innocent kids. She has also shown right direction to all our teachers at Pre - Primary wing and helped them to understand the psyche and behavioral patterns of the very young minds. This has gone a long way to develop and take appropriate and adequate measures for overall development of children.

Having started her journey as a teacher in the year 1988,Mrs Lalita Bisht is a proven and highly respected educator. In her distinguished and inspiring career, she has served in Cambridge English School, Bangalore(1988-1996) DAV School Faridabad (1996-1999), Apeejay School Faridabad (2001-2007) and BLM Academy Haldwani (2012-2015).

She joined Arden Progressive School Haldwani Lamachaur in April 2015 as a Pre-Primary In- charge and was elevated to the position of Headmistress of Pre-Primary wing in 2017.
