Today Arden Progressive School, Lamachaur celebrated India’s 73rd  Republic Day with great eclat . Republic Day was celebrated with a lot of fanfare and grandeur. The Management members, Head Mistress Ma'am (Pre-primary wing) and Staff were welcomed in this programme. The honourable Trustee Sir unfurled the National flag and all pledged to hold the honour and integrity of our country. The teachers brought the stage alive with their passion and love for the motherland through poem, slogans and speech. The school Choir reverberated the auditorium with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm.  The students participated enthusiastically through online activities. The celebration concluded with informative speech delivered by Respected Head Mistress Maa'm & Honourable Trustee Sir. Though this year the pandemic has changed the way we celebrate national festivals still the love for our motherland never fades away the patriotic zeal. We pray to Almightyquoting the words of Rabindranath Tagore “ Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high; Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake”

It gives us great pleasure to share with you that two students of our School - Bedika Upreti (Grade X) and Aastha Pant (Grade IX) have won Inspire Award for the year 2021-22 for their innovative and feasible Science Projects. The award also carries a cash award of Rs 10,000/-.  The prestigious Inspire Awards are bestowed upon bright young minds, for their innovative Science Projects/ models by the Ministry of Sciene & Technology. They have also been selected to participate in the District Level Exhibition & Project Competition (DLEPCs) to be organized by the District Education Authority. Dancers come and go in the twinkling of an eye, but the dance lives on.” With an aim to hone the dancing skills of the students,  Arden Progressive School Students participated in the Folk Dance Competition, DHAROHAR organised in Gurukul International School on 22nd December 2021 by PSA on the theme Mythology . It's a matter of immense pride for all of us that our School procured the First Runner Up Trophy in a firece competition held between 16 Prestigious Schools from Nainital District. True to the theme, the vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performance and this was a reflection of their passion and hard work. The  SECOND POSITION  grabbed by our students was made possible because of the colossal amount of dedication and sportsmanship displayed by our teachers and dear students. On this achievement  Respected Principal sir and Honourable Trustee sir congratulated the winners and appreciated the performance of the participants and  encouraged them to participate more in such competitions to enhance their talents.  Our dear Students justified the words of Napoleon Hill, that state ...  "Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success."

Wish you and your family a glittery and  joyous Christmas  Arden Progressive School celebrated the spirit of Christmas  with great fervour and enthusiasm on 24th December . School vibrated  with the echoes of Christmas carols and wore a festive look with bells , streamers and beautifully decorated Christmas trees .  A cultural program was put up by the students in the school ground. The students enthralled the audience by enacting the scene of Nativity.  They emphasised the importance of caring , sharing and spreading goodness all around. The students danced to the joyful tunes of Christmas spreading cheer with their smiles and lovely attire. The school choir sang melodious foot tapping carols. The Chief Trustee Sir and the Principal expressed their delight on seeing such enthusiasm among the children who brought the spirit of Christmas to life.

" An athelete cannot run with money in his pockets. He must run with hope in his heart and dream in his mind."  Arden Progressive School tried to expand their horizon into sports arena. We are glad to announce that our students have participated in various competitions and have proved as a " Never giving up Team with a fighting spirit ignited within themselves." This attitude has paved us towards the beginning of the success story. Our students participated in " Nainital District Junior Athletics Meet  -2021" on 5th Dec  2021 and winners received a certificate and momento on this competition.  Himanshu Koranga son of Mr.Girish Singh Koranga of class -XI B secured 1st position in 11.5mtr Shotput.  Lovish Khinda son of Mr. Sukhvinder Khinda of class XI -B secured 3rd position in Long jump (17.2 ft).  Krish Singh of class VII - D, son of Mr. Uttam Singh secured 2nd position in 60 mtr race.  Ananya Bahukhandi of class - VII C, daughter of Mr. Ashok Bahukhandi secured 3rd position in Shotput.   This is to inform you that on 9/12/21 (Thursday)Arden Progressive School,Lamachaur conducted the event Post Card campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav for students from grade IV to grade  XI.. The event is being organised by the Department of Posts, in coordination with the Department of School Education and Literacy of the Ministry of Education , The  aim of the campaign is to convey ideas of students to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by writing post card on any of the two topics “ Unsung heroes of freedom struggle” and “My vision for India in 2047” . The event was conducted successfully and our dear students enthusiastically participated and  expressed their ideas and view through a Post Card.

Today (1 Dec 21), our School had the privilege of having amongst us Brigadier Sunil Upadhyay, VSM, an extremely decorated and respected officer of the Indian Army. An officer with vast operational experience, Brig. Upadhyay had a very interesting interactive session with our students who are keen to have a career in the Armed forces. Brig. Upadhyay shared his experiences and  counselled the students very effectively about the  life in the defence forces and what qualities young minds must imbibe in them to have a successful defence career. The students were more than excited about meeting their role model and enthusiastically came up with some thought provoking array of queries. It gives us immense happiness to inform you that our school celebrated Uttarakhand Foundation Day on 9th November, 21.   A number of activities were conducted in the school on 9 and 10 November to mark the occasion.   Our dear students showcased their pride for the Uttarakhand State by participating enthusiastically in Poster Making , Slogan writing, creative writing,  Quiz, Elocution, debates etc.   We feel honoured to share with you some glimpses of the events conducted in the school on 9&10 November. Ik omkar, also spelled Ek omkar; mean “There is only one God or One creator or one Om-maker.”  This  phrase in Sikhism denotes the one supreme reality. Guru Nanak Dev ji was the first of the ten Sikh gurus and the founder of Sikhism. His birth anniversary is observed as ‘Gurpurab’ across the World. Keeping in view the secular ethos, the school celebrated and rejoiced in the spirit of the festival Guru Nanak Jayanti. To observe this auspicious occasion, Our school “ APS HALDWANI” presented a special assembly on 18th November ’2021.  The assembly commenced with the hymns from the Holy Gurugranth Sahib. The students came forward to share useful information relating to the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Devji.  The students exhibited the solemnity of the festival through poster making competition. The event concluded with the closing lines of  the" Principal Sir"  in which he advised the gathering to forever seek God’s blessings for the *Peace and Harmony of the whole world * and advised the children  to be on the right and blessed path as chosen by Guru Nanak Devji. He further added that the students through celebrations  learn the acts of  bhakti (devotion) and seva (service)and these values are important because they bring out the fundamental goodness of human beings and society at large. He wished,"May the holy teachings of Guru Nanak Ji guide us along the correct path in life. and Waheguruji enlighten everyone's heart and mind with knowledge and sanctity."

Only through right education can a better order of society be built up." - Jawaharlal Nehru   Every year Children’s Day is celebrated across India in the memory of our first Prime Minister Pdt. Jawahar Lal Nehru whose immense love  for children is known world-wide. So to make our children feel special this year the  'Arden Progressive School' celebrated Children’s day  in the school premises with full zest. The formal programme started in the morning  with a serene and placid session. It all began with a special school assembly where in the teachers stepped into the shoes of their beloved   students and conducted the entire assembly right from offering the prayers to the almighty to the vision of the school. The teachers made Children’s Day special for the children by involving them into various games like  the lemon race, zig -zag race, musical chair etc. Teachers gave various performances for the students in order to exhibit their love and affection to their dear students. The Respected Principal Sir*   joined in applauding the teachers for putting up a wonderful show by highlighting the importance of the day with an informative speech. The day ended with distribution of sweets  and wonderful memories to cherish forever.

Losers make excuses, Winners make history On November 12, 2021 our school- Arden Progressive School, Lamachaur Haldwani  felicitated the young sports prodigy Shivansh Sah on winning a Gold Medalin the Youth Category of the 18th National  Mountain Cycling Championship held in Pune. APS family acclaimed the potential of the young achiever and congratulated  him on receiving 'The Award of Appreciation' from the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand  Shri Pushkar Singh Dhamiji. Shivansh was highly impressed with the welcome given to a sportsman by the school and appreciated the acclamation and adulation he received by the APS family. He also shared his success story with the proud champions of the school and thanked the school for  its acknowledgement. At last the Hon'ble Trustee Sir and the Respected Principal Sir presented Shivansh a Memento and praised him for being an incredible motivation to all the budding stars of the school. All in all it was a wonderful day.

“Earth is our home and environment is the roof, so don't act mean, Go green and celebrate an eco -friendly Diwali this year.” Wish you all a very "Happy Diwali" on  behalf of Arden Progressive family. This Diwali let's ' Go Green and Serve Humanity '  Today on, 03 Nov 2021 APS Haldwani celebrated Green Diwali to illuminate everyone's heart with festive gusto. This celebration comprised a bunch of exhilarating activities, like literary, Art and Craft, lamp making, poster making, Diya Decoration , Toran making and card making activities in which children participated with great enthusiasm. Children also presented a plethora of entertaining programmes. Theyenthralled the audience by their graceful moves . Tiny tots came dressed up in different colourful dresses that made the occasion vibrant and colourful.  Mesmerizing songsand dances won the hearts of the audience. An inspiring “ Nukkad Natak” was also dramatized to apprise the students about  Green Diwali. The school Principal  applauded the efforts of the children and staff

" Be the change you want to see in the world. " To commemorate the  Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri and to acknowledge their sacrifices for our nation. Arden Progressive School Lamachaur organised a short and sober cultural programme. The event commenced with flag hoisting by Honourable Trustee sir. It was followed by lighting of lamp and floral  tributes to the leaders. To accord due respect to all the religions Sarva Dharma Prayer(Inter- faith prayer)  was performed by teachers which filled the ambience with devotional feelings. To pay the homage , the teachers choir sung Gandhi Ji’s favourite bhajan ‘Raghupati Raghav' with full exuberance. A plethora of activities were conducted: Speeches, poems  and songs by the teachers articulated and reflected the beliefs held by Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastriji. Honourable Chief Trustee sir and respected Principal sir addressed the gathering and encouraged all to follow the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi  and  Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri. They also threw light on some of the historic moments in India’s freedom struggle. The cultural events were followed by the cleanliness drive  in the school campus where all the teachers participated most enthusiastically. It was aimed at evoking a sense of cleanliness and hygiene at home and surroundings for healthier environment. To make the day a special one, virtual activities were conducted for the students .The students participated with immense enthusiasm &  cheerfulness . The event concluded with a message ,"Violence spreads Violence, let's spread love and peace everywhere."

'There are no good byes for us Where ever you are,  you will always be in our heart........’” With immense pleasure, we would like to inform you that our school  Arden Progressive School organised  the farewell ceremony  to bid adieu to our  students of grade 12 (Batch of 2021-21) .The atmosphere was filled with festivity and gaiety. The students turned out in their best  - the boys were looking dapper and the girls dressed resplendently. The event began with Saraswati Vandana to evoke divine blessing and was followed by the lightening of the lamp by honourable Trustee sir and Principal sir. A grand cultural show was put up  by grade XI students which included an array of dance dedicated to their seniors .A few glimpses of the students‘ memorable moments  filled the entire audience with nostalgia. The Chief Trustee sir and Principal Sir addressed the students and exhorted them to work hard for the best results and blessed them for their future endeavours. The farewell ceremony was concluded with the presentation of mementos to our dear students, as a mark of love and affection towards them.

Mimansa achieved 16th rank at Zonal Level and 327th rank at International Level. A scholar par excellence, Mimansa has proved her mettle time and again and has distinguished herself in Academics. Always a topper, she achieved 97 % marks in both Grade X and Grade XII CBSE Board Examinations. "Teachers have three loves: love of learning, love of learners, and the love of bringing the first two loves together." Teacher’s Day was celebrated  in Arden Progressive School with immense vigour and vivacity following all the safety measures and maintaining social distance. The programme was led off by lighting the auspicious 'Lamp of Knowledge' Hon'ble Trustee Sir. He along with the teachers offered flowers to a portrait of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan and congratulated the teachers on this special occasion. A speech elocution was also conducted, where the students very accurately and persuasively expressed their thoughts on the dangerous impact of plastic on our environment and spread a very significant message on the need of saving our mother Earth. Students from senior classes also gave a peek into the life of great visionary and educationist  Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. They thanked the teachers for their ceaseless efforts and endeavours in shaping their future.   Children from grade 6 to 12 spread the hues of rainbow  through their lively and flamboyant performances and made their teachers feel wonderful and proud.

Lotus feet of Lord Krishna are so wonderful that whoever takes shelter under them immediately becomes purified.   Arden Progressive School organised an activity session on 27 August 21 to celebrate the divine appearance of  Lord Krishna on the occasion of pious festival  Shree Krishna Janmashtami.   In this Activity Session, all the students participated in the activity of their interest such as Poster Making, Essay Writing, Story Writing or Poetry Compositions with great zeal and fervour.   It's our privilege to share a few glimpses of the session through some pics. NATION FIRST, ALWAYS FIRST Independence day was celebrated in the most befitting  manner and with patriotic  fervor  on 15  August  2021 in  Arden Progressive  School Lamachaur,  to mark the 75th year of freedom  from the British Rule. On this occasion  the majestic tricolour  flag was hoisted by Respected Principal Sir, in presence of Honourable School Trustee Sir, Esteemed Trustee Maa'm and the staff of the school. All in unison  sang the national  anthem  and expressed  the joy of freedom. APS,  in this crucial  phase of pandemic, celebrated  this glorious day maintaining  social distance  and following  all  the safety measures needed. The students attended the function online and participated in different competitions.

This day is celebrated to encourage public awareness about environmental protection and to raise the importance of the healthy and green environment in our lives.
